Building Alexia’s Rifle

This post chronicles the process of building a rifle for a very special gal named Alexia.

Like all stories this one has a beginning, it starts with a letter from Alexia herself:

Alexia’s Letter:

Finding a rifle:

Below is the donor rifle we found in a local gun shop, a nice clean 60’s Rem. 700 BDL in .243.

Selecting a Barrel:

For the barrel:  One of Ron’s excellent barrels, 6 mm, 3 groove, 1X9 twist, Stainless steel #1 contour.

Pictures and email from Alexia:

Hi Bob and Jill. Attached you will find 3 pictures one is when I was 3 years old that we used to hunt in Florida all the time, the other one is when I was 7 with my first doe, and the last one is a present picture. Hopefully, I will get many other pictures with my new rifle this year. Thank you, send pictures!

Love,

Alexia :)
